Andrew concentrates his practice in federal criminal defense, civil rights, and complex litigation. Andrew has trial and appellate experience in both state and federal court. His criminal defense experience includes several complex federal and state fraud cases, while his experience on the plaintiff’s side includes several federal and state civil rights actions as well as a complex federal civil RICO action.

Following his graduation cum laude from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, where he worked on the DePaul Law Review and as a summer associate for Winston & Strawn, Andrew began his career in criminal defense. While working for Andrea Lyon at the Center for Justice in Capital cases, Andrew was part of the teams that defended two highly publicized death penalty cases in Florida and Mississippi. Later he added federal civil rights litigation to his toolkit while working for Len Goodman. At Blaine & Vanzant, he has expanded his civil practice to include complex commercial litigation and discovery, where he managed the discovery efforts for a federal civil RICO action brought under the grueling requirements of the Mandatory Initial Discovery Pilot Project for the Northern District of Illinois.
